What Every Girl Expects Of Her First Relationship Vs. Reality

When a girl gets in her first relationship, she has it all imagined and figured out. From all the romcoms, and love story novels, and movies, she has made up her mind for the ideal relationship.
But, it’s not that fancy. Girls need to realise this soon and get rid of the unrealistic expectations to have a happily ever after.
1.Talking on the phone
Expectation:
Girls imagine, they’ll be talking for endless hours on the phone, knowing every little thing about each other. And that they will have so much to talk about.
Reality:
It’s 11’o clock in the morning and no call. Bam!
For real, you will be talking to him for about an hour or so in total (WhatsApp chat included) and 2-3 hours on some weekends. “Aur Batao?” will be their favorite topic even in that little time.
And dare you to ask him to give you time.
The generic reply, “Baby, I was working. Please understand I am doing this for us only na.”
- Dates
Expectation:
The Beautiful Bouquet, Chocolates, the Candlelight Dinner, he holding up the door for you and so on.
Dreaming already?
Reality:
Last minute plans, arguments about the choice of a cafe and innumerable hurdles.
3. First Kiss
Expectation:
You imagine your first kiss to be perfect, intense, passionate and hot. (Movie like)
Reality:
Where should I keep my hands? Should I tilt my head one side? Do I use my tongue or is it too soon? Oh my God! It happened, and it was the worst kiss in the history of kissing.
Yeah, Trust me! It happens to everyone.
4. First ‘I Love You’
Expectation:
“It will come naturally. I will just say it, big deal.”
Reality:
You say everything except ‘I Love You.’
5. Gifts and Surprises
Expectation:
All girls expect little (if not big) surprises from their “bae”. A bunch of red roses, Cute little things, soft toys, etc.
Reality:
No, boys have no idea about gifts, and the concept of surprises is alien to them.
6. Fights
Expectation:
You think that it’s a small argument, and it will be resolved in minutes.
Reality:
Endless discussions, shouting, hours of crying, ‘no talking’ days, and finally when you both are tired, you’ll make peace.
But after the initial months of your relationship, you realize that it’s not about the hours you spend talking, how fancy your date is, stupid fights, or the gifts he gives. The care, love, loyalty and affection you have for each other, is what matters.
Period!
