Open my phone gallery and you’ll NEVER find a single selfie, where I am not goofing or making weird faces. You get the picture, ha? And when I came across Kimiko Nishimoto’s page, I discovered that I had found, my soul sister. At age of 89, she is the living proof that age is, indeed, a number.
It was only 17 years ago, at the age of 72, that Kimiko found her passion for photography, enrolling in a beginner’s course that was being taught by her own son. She added her own quirky style and started taking hilarious self-portraits. In fact, they have garnered such a huge fan-following that now they are being exhibited in galleries across Japan!
Often dressing up in costumes, she isn’t afraid to do stunts on bicycles and motorbikes for her pictures
I’d love to HANG out with her.
Go, Granny, go!
Looks like one badass ninja turtle,
Her work will be displayed at Tokyo’s Epson Espite Imaging Gallery, in an exhibition titled Asobokane.
She proves that you are never too old to realize your passion. This is what I want to be in 60 years. #LifeGoals
