Shocking Vintage Pictures of Bollywood Auditions

These shocking photos from Bollywood are doing rounds on internet these day. They feature the veteran Bollywood director Abdul Rashid Kardar of Kardar Productions taking screen test of aspiring actresses during early 50s.

These photographs were taken by James Burke for Life Magazine.

The photos show nothing but the existence of various social issues we’re still fighting, like:

Taboos about woman’s body type, women objectification and work sexual harassment.
