Stereotypes are like cockroaches. They are everywhere, and we are too lazy to kill them.
And after we’re all dead, they’ll still continue to live. We’re all sick of living with them, and every once in a while, an outburst takes us back to its acknowledgment.
Recently, a hashtag called #ThingsOnlyChristianWomenHear appeared on Twitter & was highly in trend. The thread began about a week ago with an intention to highlight male privilege in Christian communities.
The seed was sown by Christian Author Sarah Bessey, “It was just a conversation I was wanting to have with my followers about something I care about, but it resonated more widely than I expected.”
After her tweet, a lot of women came forward to describe their experiences at Church.
“Women should be silent in the church!” springs to mind. ? #ThingsOnlyChristianWomenHear

Gosh, it’s not easy being a woman in profession, is it? Or a woman who worships? Or a wife? Where do these rules keep coming in from?
