All About How Illustrator Olly Gibbs Made ‘Sad’ Classic Art Characters ‘Smile’ Using A Simple App

London-based graphic designer and illustrator Olly Gibbs recently visited a museum in Amsterdam called the Rijksmuseum. What he saw there made him rethink about the way portraits were shot in the past.

He saw how almost every classic art piece kept at the museum had a dead look on his/her face. Nobody was smiling and that irked Olly. As a solution, he decided to use the modern technology to help them get rid of the ‘seriousness.’

Using his FaceApp-enabled Smartphone, check out how he gave a face-lift to those funereal characters.
