Ms. Foundation’s new campaign, #MyFeminismIs, talks about challenges women face. It’s website describes it as:
The majority of the public already believes in the equality of “ALL genders,” and that is exactly what Feminism is,”the social, economic and political equality of ALL genders.” The objective of the #MyFeminismIs campaign is to paint a broad, inclusive and intersectional picture of the Feminism as we continue to challenge and change the conversation around equal rights.
The organization interviewed over 42 participants including advocates, activists, writers, philanthropic leaders and organizers asking why they were a Feminist, what they believe intersectional Feminism looks like and why they believe in Feminism. In the video, participants are explaining their original perceptions of what feminism meant, and how they grew to understand the movement and their place within it.
Various quotes from the video inspire us:
“This campaign is an invitation to build a more inclusive movement that includes all genders, races, ethnicities, cultures and ages.”
“My feminism is a question. And the question is, what truths are missing here?”
If you want, you can also use the hashtag #MyFeminismIs and share your story of feminism with us!
