Just about two weeks ago, the last episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati had Nobel prize winner Kailash Satyarthi, an active Children’s Rights Activist, as a guest.
I was literally moved to tears when he spoke about physical and mental harassment of children working in the circus. Satyarthi said that we aren’t progressing until each child of our planet is living a safe and rightful life.
This Children’s Day, Save The Children India, an NGO that works for rights of children, started a movement #Move4Children that urges everyone to come together to help at least one child to live the life they deserve. They have brought forward facts of critical conditions that the children endure.
We mount a humanitarian response which is timely and addresses the most critical needs of affected #children. Our response saves lives! This #ChildrensDay, join us in this cause & help us be better prepared to save children during disasters: https://t.co/AijwtqeIAE #Move4Children
Sadly, even today, lakhs of #children are denied the chance to speak up for their rights. This #ChildrensDay, join us and #Move4Children.
Joining the movement were Dia Mirza, Global Citizen India, and Pragya Vats.
Millions of children continue to be denied their most basic rights. This #ChildrensDay, I #Move4Children. Together we can stand with #EveryLastChild and build a movement of millions. Will you #Move4Children?
