The oomph quotient soared high for this Jamaican beauty Ms. Sanneta Myrie, who didn’t pretend of who she is at Miss World Pageant 2015. Sanneta, who had been crowned Miss Jamaica, didn’t win this competition but finished in Top Five.
A 24-year-old Doctor by qualification, Sanneta grew up in rural parishes of Jamaica. With her passion for helping others, she aspires to join Doctors Without Borders, an organization that provides medical care to the most marginalized worldwide. Indeed a great and noble goal, her story and dreams are valid for us.
What enthralled us is that for the first time in the history of Miss World Competition somebody has carried her dreadlock. It’s a significant step toward presenting diverse beauty who identifies with her locks.
Speaking to Jezebel.com, Sanneta said that she is deeply rooted in her Afro-centric nature, and it’s her expression. As a child, her life transformed with love and charity she received. Her quest is to give back to the society in the most beautiful way.
But wait, here is more! Sanneta loves to dance, enjoys long distance and cross-country running, and volunteers as a counselor at the University of the West Indies. We wish you success and courage to follow your passion!
