Launched as a forerunner to the Thai Mother’s Day, this emotional video is bound to instigate a stream of sentiments and love, in your heart!
The Thai Mother’s Day is celebrated on 12th of August each year to commemorate the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit who is referred to in honor as the First Mother of Thailand. This video pertinently portrays the power of women, especially mothers, besides venerating the Queen’s birthday.
Created by Leo Burnett for the Thai-firm Tesco Lotus, the 2-minute video shows a parent as a taxi-driver who works hard day and night to provide for her child. It poignantly brings to light the struggles and hardships that come by, but nonetheless, this parent embraces them with a smile for the child. Just as you find yourself brimming with emotions, the twist in the plot surfaces when it is found that the parent is actually a mother who dresses like a male to take up the job.
