When my brother pursued a professional photography course, everybody in the family was so happy because our in-house photographer would now click the best of pictures and that too for free!

So, when I read about Celebrity hairstylist Matt Fugate and his wife Laura Gammel, who is a communications director in the fashion industry, I thought what a couple!

But what generally happens is that when both the partners are working, they tend to get very less time with each other.

Such was the case with Matt and Laura too. To spend more time with each other, they launched the #365DayHairChallenge in January which meant that Matt will set Laura’s hair every day for one year.

“It’s just this moment where we’re able to stand still for 15 to 20 minutes every morning,” Laura said in a video for Harper’s Bazaar. “Just the two of us and our dogs sitting at our feet while he’s doing my hair. It’s nice. It’s like a deep breath of fresh air before we get into the craziness of our day.”

They were pretty serious about their challenge. So much so, that on 14th April when the couple tied the knot, Matt did Laura’s hair. He pulled them back into a gorgeous braided updo and was left speechless when he found her all dressed up for their big day.

“It was really surreal,” he said in the video. “She came out and she was like my bright shining star. I mean I’m speechless for once actually. I’m kind of choked up thinking about it.”

To Harper’s, Matt revealed how he totally loved doing his wife’s hair and has no plans to stop it anytime soon! “I feel like I’m the luckiest man in the world because I get the opportunity to do my wife’s hair every day, possibly on and on and on until I’m doing my daughter’s hair, my granddaughter’s hair. But I’ll always be doing my wife’s hair,” he said.
