Leonie Muller left her apartment sometime back to live inside trains.
Don’t mistaken these trains with some old piece standing still at a station. They are very much into action and most of them run at a speed of about 300 kmph every day! Leonie says, “It all started with a dispute I had with my landlord. I instantly decided I didn’t want to live there anymore and then I realized: actually, I didn’t want to live anywhere anymore.”
Leonie is a German college student. She bought a subscription that allows her to board every train in the country for free. She just paid $380 for it which is way too cheaper than what she used to pay for her apartment – $450!
Are you thinking how her life is inside the fast-moving train? Worry not! Leonie explains, “I really feel at home on trains, and can visit so many more friends and cities. It’s like being on vacation all the time. I read, I write, I look out of the window and I meet nice people all the time. There’s always something to do on trains. I just carry a small backpack with clothes, tablet computer, college documents and a sanitary bag.”
Her story is quickly going viral on social media and people are fondly reading about her. “I want to inspire people to question their habits and the things they consider to be normal. There are always more opportunities than one thinks there are. The next adventure is waiting just around the corner — provided that you want to find it”, tells Leonie.
