When I watched Da Vinci Code, I was blown away! It’s funny how even after being dead, Da Vinci continues to troll us from the heaven above. According to a recent discovery, Mona Lisa isn’t really the Mona Lisa.
According to the BBC reports, French scientist Pascal Cotte analyzed the masterpiece with reflective light technology until he determined—after 10 years—that a portrait of a completely different woman lies beneath the layers of paint.
What? I think my whole life is a lie.
It was assumed for years that Mona Lisa was Lisa Gherardini, wife of a Florentine Merchant. Then who really is the woman beneath the layers of paint? Well, it’s the merchant’s wife, she has smaller lips, she looks sideways, and has bigger hands. Mona Lisa is, however, a mystery woman.
