Carrying music instruments around, with an intense passion in their eyes, the Underground Artists are often misunderstood. Some people call them noise, others think they are just wasting their time, and why? Is it because our country is dominated by the Indian Film music? Maybe. But do you know what’s awesome, guys? They are getting there.
Yes! They are, even if at the speed of a sloth. The Underground Music Scene is now on a roll! For Ravi (Co- founder of NH7, organizer of NH7 Weekender), “Standing by”, an upcoming documentary of Underground Music, also comes from the belief that the Independent Music will continue to get stronger. He also added, “The scope is getting bigger and bigger especially in smaller cities. I remember going to judge a battle of the bands in IIT Jodhpur and seeing a Goth Metal Band” referring to Jaipur’s Fragile Silence.
‘Standing by’ starts October 14, every Wednesday on redbull.in
With interviews of Independent Music Artists like Nucleya, Thermal and a Quarter, Sid Coutto, Palash Sen, Vishal Dadlani, Monica Dogra, who tell you the stories of their journey, taking you to a whole new level.
