Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg started a 20-minute speech at Tsighua school of Economics and Management with tribute to her late husband.
She emphasized on leadership, “Great leaders do not just want to secure compliance. They want to elicit genuine enthusiasm, complete trust, and real dedication. They don’t just win the minds of their teams, they win their hearts.”
Sandberg also took time to discuss the gender gap and Chinese society stereotypes of the females who do not get married by the age of 27. She said, “We can walk up to someone who calls a little girl ‘bossy,’ and say instead, ‘That little girl is not bossy. That little girl has executive leadership skills.”
