Period Pads as messengers of change!

Feminist Elonë Kastratia’s life was changed when she read this tweet: “Imagine if men were as disgusted with rape as they are with periods.”
After that, she decided to print that feminist message and a few others on sanitary napkins. You read it right – on sanitary pads. She did so and put them on traffic signs all over Karlsruhe, Germany, where she lives. All this was done on March 8, 2015 – International Women’s Day.
She says – “I was waiting for a good moment, and I decided International Women’s Day would be the best time to do it. The people on the street looked at it and thought about it! I wanted to make people aware of problems, and I wanted to provoke.”
About the response, she says – “I’ve gotten many nice responses from very nice people all over the world. I also got bad responses saying I hate men or am seeking attention. I really don’t care, because I don’t hate men at all. For me, feminism means equality. As for the attention thing, I wanted to get attention on this thing!”
Great job, Elonë!
Just that, we’re worried thinking she put these pads on the traffic light! At that she says, “I’m not sure if it’s illegal, but seriously I don’t care because they are easy to take off.”
