First of all, YAY!! Wonder Woman is soon going to get an equally awesome sequel. And then double YAY! Patty Jenkins, director of the record-breaking “Wonder Woman,” has secured a deal to direct the film’s sequel. The film is reportedly worth around $8 million, which would make her the highest paid female director of all time.
Confirmed earlier this summer at Comic-Con, the second installment of the DC Comics movie was announced and will mark Gal Gadot’s return as Wonder Woman in 2019. Earlier, there were rumors that Jenkins may not return as the director as clashes pertaining to pay-rise, given the fact that Wonder Woman was a smash hit.
And Jenkins is ready to amaze us with her expert direction skills.
“I realized that ‘Wonder Woman 2’ is its own great movie,” she told. “I made ‘Wonder Woman.’ Now I want to make ‘Wonder Woman 2.’ It’s a beautiful story to tell, an important time to tell it and with people that I love.”
She is ready to repeat history. Wonder Woman dashed to the top of the box office in June on a wave of good reviews and received immense praise for its female empowerment. With $816.4m at the worldwide box office, it is already assured that the sequel is going to as attention-grabbing as last time.
Well, if she ready to repeat history, I am also all ready to nab the ticket of the sequel- first day, first show, folks!
