Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Yoga Instructor Spills Tips On Losing Pregnancy Weight

Kareena Kapoor Khan, who was on a roll during and post her pregnancy, broke every possible stereotype. From being active during pregnancy and getting to work after delivery, she showed the world that pregnancy is not a stoppage. One thing that Bebo kept in her mind was to make sure her body was always in good health.

Right after her delivery, we saw paparazzi capturing her in and out of her daily yoga class. And 5 months later, she’d lost 12 kgs! This tremendous change happened under famous celebrity Yoga instructor Anshuka Parwani, who is an expert at aerial yoga. She also has celebrities Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora, Parineeti Chopra as her clients.

  She shed some important points on losing pregnancy weight in a recent interview with Vogue India. We have culled the points for you. Scroll through. You need to understand your body It’s important to communicate with your body and understand what it needs, says Anshuka. “You need to focus on core-strengthening post-delivery. Focus on pranayamas to balance your hormones.” Do a lot of strengthening asanas to increase your stamina. She has also created a form which is blending aerial yoga and pilates, called Fly Fit, that helps in strengthening.  

The mantra never fails – Patience

You need to have patience and keep working towards understanding your body. The 9-month process disrupts and plays with every hormone of yours and to get everything back in shape, takes time. “It takes time to heal your body both mentally and emotionally. You’ll need to keep patience while performing asanas and not give up.” Kareena did a lot of inversions while doing aerial yoga which helped to stimulate the thyroid gland and the endocrine system and improve blood circulation.

  Take a deep breath and relax Anything is not easy until you try it. The trick to being a pro at it is to let your mind be open to everything. Only practice makes a human better. “While you’re practicing yoga, your mind and soul are exercising along with your body.”
