Dear Kashmir,

It’s been two years since I last visited you, and you have always been on the top of my mind whenever I think of beautiful destinations in India. How I wish I could get to see you more often…

So here’s our way of keeping in touch and letting you know that you are precious. Jaipur Women Blog in collaboration with Jewels of Jaipur decided to share love and warmth through a special campaign ‘Sunn Zara Kashmir’ on the occasion of National Post Day.

Jewels of Jaipur provided us with beautifully designed postcards to send messages to Kashmir. So we made the most of them and asked students of The Palace School to pour their hearts out. The children drew colors, wrote stories and even composed poems to reach out to the hearts of Kashmiri people.

Amidst all the violence and terror, these warm and affectionate postcards have been sent to random addresses in Kashmir.

JWB then reached its final destination – The Government Post Office. When we explained our campaign to the senior postmaster Gauri Shanker, he said, “It is a great initiative and well thought too. Through these postcards, Kashmir will feel they are loved and that is a beautiful message.”

After going from one department to the other with the bundle of postcards in our hands, we finally reached the stamping counter. The festive spirit could be felt just by looking at the ‘let’s finish up and go home fast’ faces of post officials. But despite being loaded with work they gave us their time.

This, let us tell you is just the beginning. Tomorrow JWB will visit more schools to gather love for Kashmir. So if you have a message too, post it on social media with the hashtag #SunnZaraKashmir. Let’s spread peace and happiness.
