Jordan Bone, from Norfolk, was left paralyzed in a car crash when she was a teenager. Unable to move her hands, she challenged her limitation in the most brilliant way possible. Today at 25, she is one of the top beauty vloggers.
People used to ask her, “What’s wrong with your hands?” whenever she would post her videos on YouTube. To answer all of them at once, she uploaded a video talking about her half-paralyzed body.
In the video, Jordan opens up about her initial struggles to move her weak hands and arms, and how she used to edit that part in the video where she is holding the mascara and brushes with her mouth. She says, “The truth is I can’t move them, open them or close them. And it’s all because 10 years ago I became a tetraplegic after a car accident. I lost a lot and I didn’t want to lose my identity too.”
With this video, she intends to inspire millions of her followers who allow limitations to kill their dreams. She says, “There are so many struggles in my life. I mean, I can’t dress myself or do my own hair. So to be able to do my own makeup is my thing. My hands haven’t been able to move in 10 years, but I’ve taught myself a new way of doing my makeup. So if something is standing in your way, maybe it means trying a different way. Explore your options. The obvious route may not always be for you.”
In the end, she speaks out a beautiful message, “Always spread positivity and be kind. Love the life you live.” Beautiful, isn’t it?
