It’s a dream some people are even afraid to dream, to become a billionaire! But Elizabeth Holmes began working on her dream when she was just 19 years old. Being the youngest self-made female billionaire in the world, Elizabeth inspires us, invigorates us to do something remarkable with our lives!
She founded her company Theranos twelve years ago and today it is valued at $9 billion! Women in Science and Technology have always been thought of as to taking up a career that might never take off. In fact, it’s rare to find a woman working in that field.
Holmes, who is now 31, said at the closing session of CGI, “Raise our little girls with the stereotype that they can be the best in Engineering and Science and Math. It changes everything.” She was studying Chemistry at Stanford and dropped out to dedicate herself to her company. She makes over 150 blood tests with a retail price of less than $10.
With such an accomplishment, she has shut mouths of all those who said that “women can’t do science and technology”.
Thank you Elizabeth Holmes for breaking the stereotype!
