The state governments of Haryana & Himachal Pradesh have declared Karwa Chauth a holiday for all women employees working in government offices, boards, corporations and educational institutes of the state government.
This day, from now onward, will be observed as a local holiday for women every year.
However in HP, it would not be considered a holiday within the meaning of Section-25 of Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881 and is not applicable to daily paid employees but employees of Boards and Corporations only.
What do you think, should something like this be tried in Rajasthan?
