Help India’s 19-Year-Old Sprinter Dutee Chand Get To The 2016 Olympics!

Do you know that you can be a part of the Olympic dream of 19 year old sprinter Dutee Chand, who not only ‘outran’ her critics in a court battle but also has started to train for her ultimate goal with fresh energy!

It all started in early 2015, when she was banned from competing in women’s athletic events because of the fact that she had a high level of the hormone testosterone.

What started then was a long court battle that ultimately resulted in finally getting the decision overturned through Duttee’s legal pleas.

So what now? In a bid to hone her skills, Dutee wants to go to the Chula Vista Olympic Training Centre in the US for a four month long training that will prepare her for the Olympics.

You too can be a part of her quest for an Olympic medal through crowdfunding. Yup, you read it right!

Dutee has recently launched a crowdfunding campaign to support her expenses during her visit to the US.

And support has been pouring out from all quarters of the internet. From high profile celebrities to commoners, everyone has been throwing their weight behind this teenage sportstar.enhanced-26664-1448440439-1 enhanced-12266-1448440522-3

True to her status as a firebrand woman who speaks her mind, Gul Panag has been fervently tweeting in Dutee’s support for a while now and is trying to help her by all means.

Btw, do you know that it has been more than 50 years that India hasn’t won any medal in athletics. Wouldn’t it be an apt conclusion to Dutee’s quest of participating in the Olympics if she is the one to change the medal drought in India?

For the first time now we are the ones who can give wings to her dream.

Imagine, the tricolor being hoisted at Rio with Dutee holding her head high, clutching a gold medal?

Not a bad idea eh?
