Kangana Ranaut has proven over the years that one, she is a terrific actor with jaw dropping skills and two, she is one badass woman, who isn’t willing to accept any form of injustice. With her recent strings of disclosing popular faces, she has yet again done the impossible. Her latest video collaboration with All India Bakchod (AIB) is the most honest description of the reality of the mighty Bollywood.
Can you imagine what goes on in the shooting a Bollywood film? Well, no worries! This video will give you a ‘wonderful’ peep into the working behind the camera. The video shows a typical shoot of a Bollywood film, where the female actor is paid little or no attention. But the male lead, oh my! He is treated like royalty, his wishes are the gospels of God himself.
While Kangana has successfully broken the stereotype that a film’s ‘hit or flop’ status hinges on the male actor. She has carried numerous scripts with her amazing confidence and skills and made them both critically and commercially acclaimed.
Simran releases this Friday after which Kangana Ranaut is expected to resume shooting for Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The video was for the promotion of the former but was a subtle dig at many prominent personalities and their reactions to Kangana’s controversial interviews.
Hitting the topic of feminism right on point, it also talks about how in the name of equality women are forever objectified on screen. Getting their name before the male lead in the roll credits is all the female actor has as when it comes to payment, skills take a backseat and gender is the ruling entity.
And all this happens because she is a woman, and serving them injustice is what the society excels in.
She is on fire, people! And one thing is for sure, she is not the one to bow down to anything, come what may.
