Editor Malashri Lal spoke about her latest book ‘Tagore and the Feminine’ on the 3rd day of JLF 2015. Explaining why it is different from other books on Tagore, she said: “Because none of those books have written about the other side of Rabindranath Tagore. The side which was in love with his wife. ”
“Tagore wrote many letters to his wife, Mrinalini. He would complain about why she is so lenient about her health and how she always forgets to reply to his letters. I was touched by this loving side of Tagore – A complaining yet loving husband. This book will show us the feminine world from Tagore’s eyes.”
Malashri invited Namita Gokhale, founder & Co-Director of JLF, to launch this book. With the Tagore’s Bengali song ‘Ekla Chalo Re’ sung live by Arpita Chatterji at the background, Namita launched the book in presence of many Tagore fans from India and abroad.
We are excited to read this book. Buy your copy from JLF book store or here.
