FACT: Marilyn Monroe Swore By Yoga To Keep Her Fit!

Whenever I think about Marilyn Monroe, her iconic pose from the movie ‘The Seven Year Itch’ clouds my mind. Her futile attempt to tame her white halter dress blowing around her svelte figure, was oh-so-sexy!
Over the years, she has been branded as the ultimate sex symbol and one of the most desirable women. Women all over the world would go ga-ga over her toned legs, petite waist and those golden curls!
But, good news ladies!
The secret to her enviable figure… is a secret no more!
It turns out, that apart from being an international sex icon, Monroe was a yogi too! She first mentioned yoga publicly in 1956, according to ‘The Subtle Body‘, a history of yoga culture in America, and she was pictured doing moves like boat pose and shoulder stand in a photo shoot as early as 1948.
She was also an O.G. exercise fanatic at a time when women were discouraged from lifting a finger, let alone a kettle-bell. She was an earlier adopter of strength training and made 10 minutes of weight lifting part of her morning routine.
In a 1952 interview, she told Time Life she “couldn’t stand exercise if I had to feel regimented about it”.
