Tanushree Dutta became the face of #MeTooIndia last year, as she talked about how she was harassed by Nana Patekar on the sets of a film almost a decade ago.
While Nana and the others involved in the row blatantly refuted her allegations, her #MeToo story marked the beginning of a first of its kind wave in the country where several women from different fields came out with their own stories of sexual harassment one after the other.
Tanushree’s contribution to the movement is now being recognised not only nationally but on international platforms as well. She recently shared on Instagram that she has now been invited to Harvard Business School in Boston, Massachusetts, to participate in the India Conference 2019 which is to be held on February 16th this year.
“India Conference 2019 is a flagship event organized by the graduate students of Harvard Business school and Harvard Kennedy School,” she wrote in her post. This conference is a yearly event at Harvard and the notable speakers this year would include the likes of Aruna Roy, journalist Barkha Dutt, filmmaker SS Rajamouli, and politician Asaduddin Owaisi, among others.
