A British Biochemist, Tim Hunt, recently stepped in poo. He said women scientists should be segregated from their male colleagues because they distract them, fall in love with them and cry. Ouch! This Nobel Prize winner was immediately backfired by people for promoting single-sex labs in a speech at the World Conference of Science Journalists in South Korea.

He said: “Three things happen when women are in the lab: You fall in love with them, they fall in love with you and when you criticize them, they cry”

On receiving negative feedback, he immediately apologized: “I did mean the part about having trouble with girls. I have fallen in love with people in the lab and people in the lab have fallen in love with me and it’s very disruptive to the science.”
