Whoa! This New Instagram Feature Lets You Archive Your Posts & Restore Later

If you are an avid Instagrammer and can’t do without posting on Instagram, here’s a good news for you!

You sure must be having a few pictures that make you hide your face under the pillow, but at the same time, you still want to preserve them!

Well, worry not!

Instagram is giving you a new alternative to deal with it: archiving. Sigh!

As per reports, Instagram has rolled out a new update through which one can archive any post(s) and it will be hidden from the public. However, users can view them from their profile and restore them whenever they wish. This new feature will help them keep their not so fancy pictures to themselves!

As per the company, the ‘Archive’ feature will create a personal space for the users, enabling them to have an absolute hold on their profile. An Instagram spokesperson told the Tech Crunch, “We’re always testing new ways to improve the Instagram experience.”

A user can access this feature with the ‘…’ (three-dot button) on their profile. On pressing the three dot button, an archive option will pop up. Click it! These posts are kept safe in the clock icon on the top-right corner of the user’s profile from where they can be restored.

As of now, the feature has not been circulated amongst all; however, some users have started enjoying it already! According to iMore, “You should be able to start archiving over the next couple of months, although some users claim they can use the function already.”
