We all try our best to look perfect, don’t we? We put on eyeliners, lip gloss and perfect foundation to hide our wrinkles. But then we have this ballerina who’s 53 and has accepted her wrinkles as souvenirs of her life journey.

Alessandra Ferri, the world famous ballet icon, has been performing for three decades now. She has danced in countless ballet acts such as Requiem and Swan Lake and the most recent one being Woolf Works for which she has even won Olivier Award for Outstanding  Individual Performance."It's Fine To Have Wrinkles," Says 53 Y.O. In an interview with Refinery29, on being asked about beauty and aging she said, “I’ve never been afraid to show who I am, there is beauty in every age and every face and everybody.” make false statements, she said, ”

To companies making false statements about beauty products, she said, “When a brand says, ‘If you use this product, your wrinkles are going to disappear in two weeks,’ first of all, it’s not true. And second of all, you’re promoting an idea that there is something wrong with having a wrinkle. And why? Why are we promoting that beauty is wrinkle-less?img_3 (2)

Alessandra also tells that aging is a part of life and thus we should embrace it.

We all want to look as beautiful as you can at every age, so yes we do things to make us feel better, but [we cannot] deny who we are,” she says. “And unless we stop rejecting the fact that the passing of age is part of life, then we will be unhappy. It’s fine to have a wrinkle; it’s fine to be 50. There is beauty and there is energy and there is life and there is love in every age.
