Acid Attack Survivor Laxmi Aggarwal Honours Nirbhaya’s Mother In An Emotional Post

On the face of it, Instagram is just a photo-sharing app, but sometimes you come across such gems on it.
Nirbhaya’s mother Asha Devi is an exceptional woman. She has been fighting for women’s rights despite losing her daughter to a horrifying crime. She is a source of endless inspiration, and acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggarwal agrees with us. The two recently met, which Laxmi commemorated with a beautiful photo on Instagram and a heartwarming caption.

मैं जब भी आण्टी आप से मिलती हूं तो मुझको बहुत हिम्मत मिलती है, मेरे अन्दर एक सकारात्मक ऊर्जा का संचार होता है जिसके बल पर मैं दुनिया की हर बुरी ताकत का सामना हँसते हुए कर पाती हूं। हम हमेशा उसको ही सर्वाईवर मानते हैं जिस पर अटैक होता है, लेकिन असल में अटैक सिर्फ सर्वाईवर पर नहीं उनके परिवार पर उनके माँ-बाप पर होता है, और उनके दर्द को समझना हर किसी के बस की बात नहीं है। आज आशा आण्टी ने अपने दर्द को अपनी कमजोरी नहीं बनाया बल्कि अपनी ताकत बनाई। उनकी सिर्फ एक बेटी नहीं है, हर बेटी में वह अपनी बेटी की झलक देखती हैं और जो उनकी बेटी के साथ हुआ वह किसी और बेटी के साथ न हो इसके लिए अब वह अपना जीवन समर्पित कर रही हैं और जिनके साथ ऐसा दु:खद हादसा होता है तो वह उसके साथ एक माँ की तरह खड़ी रहती हैं, और हौसला देती हैं उनके हक की लड़ाई को लड़ने के लिए हिम्मत बँधाती हैं। ऐसी माँ को मेरा बारम्बार सलाम। अगर हर घर में आण्टी की तरह माँ-बाप हों तो शायद हर बेटी सुरक्षित रहेगी और अपराध ढूंढने पर भी न मिलेगा। माँ-बाप को अपने बच्चों का दोस्त बनकर जीना चाहिए और हर बात शेयर करनी चाहिए बच्चों की हर बात सुननी-समझनी चाहिए। बच्चों को आपसे बात करने में कोई झिझक न हो तो सब खुश और सुरक्षित समाज बना सकेंगे।
