48 Things Women Hear In A Lifetime (That Men Just Don’t)

Being a woman inevitably comes with an extra baggage that sticks around with us like a freebie. We regularly require makeup to cover up, because that’s what society has taught us. Who we are, isn’t enough.
Out of curiosity, I checked the meaning of sexist; it just means someone who does not believe that men and women have equal right. Boom! But does everybody believe in same?
We came across a mind-blowing video at Huffington post, which is an epitome of such 48 Things Women Hear in A lifetime (that men just don’t). I feel these volley of comments is a never ending saga like Ekta Kapoor’s serials. Don’t be a slut, I was just trying to give you a compliment, you drink whiskey? Whattttttt! Don’t you want kids? I am a woman I know, but is it necessary to have children (shouldn’t it be a choice?), stop being so dramatic, why are you getting so emotional and many more…
In a very nice way, we women are always fire fighting the sexist comments which are thrown to us. I wonder for how long we would entertain the same, our juggling skills do come with validity. It is exhausting.
We have laid our footprints in different areas of life, be it business, culture, politics and what not. But, why do we still require proof to get the same respect as men, and get bombarded with such remarks.
Such utterances know no bounds, but there are people across the world who believe that women are at par with men. One such person is Prince Harry who quoted, “This is not just about women. We men need to recognize the part we play, too. Real men treat women with the dignity and the respect they deserve.”
